Class Description
- Parent/Tot - Promotes motor & cognitive development through music and movement; also encourages social interaction with other children.
- Preschool Combo - Introduction to basic dance forms (tap, ballet, jazz) using props, games & children's music. Emphasis on imaginitive dance, coordination and rhythm. Class appropriate for potty-trained children aged 2-4.
- Dance Combo - A beginner
level dance class designed for students aged
8-11 that provides a solid introduction to
ballet, jazz & hiphop. All students aged 8-11 with little or no prior
dance experience must begin in this class and
will be moved up at instructor's
discretion.
- Level 1 Tap/Ballet - Introduction to beginning tap & ballet technique in a fun and positive environment geared toward children aged 4-6.
- Ballet - Highly technical dance form focusing on body placement, grace, strength, and balance.
- Jazz - Theatrical-type dance style with a ballet based technique inspired by American Jazz music but currently taught and performed to pop music. Less technical than ballet but more technical than Hip Hop.
- Hip Hop - Funky street dancing style with a jazz based technique.
- Tap - Rhythmic dance style creating sounds and rhythms with taps on shoes.
Class
Levels: A Dance Place takes great pride in offering age-appropriate classes and utilizing age appropriate music in all of our classes. Students are placed in classes based on a combination of age and ability; although, all new school aged students must begin in Level 2. The age range displayed next to the class Levels are simply guidelines, and a child may be moved up a level at the instructor's discretion to a level more suitable to the student's potential and ability.

- Preschool Combo - Ages 2-4 & Potty Trained
- Level 1 - Ages 5-6
- Level 2 - Ages 6-8 (Beginner Level)
- Level 2 - Ages 9-11 (Beginner Level)
- Level 3 - Ages 7-9
- Level 4 - Ages 8-10
- Intermediate - Ages 11 & Up
- Advanced - Ages 13 & Up
