Farrah Dobbins, Owner/Business Director
Farrah Dobbins, a Fort Morgan, Colorado native began dancing at the age of 2. She has over 18 years of teaching experience. Prior to opening A Dance Place, Farrah taught for Mountain Dance in Fort Collins, for Backstage Performing Arts in Longmont (now Longmont Dance Theatre), and for Candy’s Dance Academy in Fort Morgan, where she grew up dancing.
Farrah Dobbins, opened the first location of A Dance Place in Windsor, Colorado in September 2004. After a successful first year in Windsor, a second location opened in Eaton, Colorado in June of 2005. Farrah partnered with Amber Walker, owner of Dance Dynamix, to open the third location of A Dance Place in Greeley, Colorado in August 2010.
Amber Walker, Owner/Studio Director – Greeley Location
Amber Walker has been dancing since the age of 3. She trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical and went on to dance in High School where she began competing in competitions across Iowa as well as well as attending various Dance Conventions. She recieved her degree in Dance Teaching and Movement Analysis from the University of Northern Colorado in 2003. While in college she performed in numerous shows, she was president of the UNC Tap Troupe, and she has directed and choreographed the Cinderella Ballet in 2003. She has been teaching in Greeley for the past 10 years. Amber owned Dance Dynamix for 5 years and is very excited to be partnering with Farrah Dobbins and opening A Dance Place in August 2010.
