What makes A Dance Place so special?
While many dance studios might look similar on the surface, A Dance Place offers some positive differences that you might not have considered. A Dance Place offers many different programs such as… Recreational dance classes of all styles, Competitive Dance Programs, Performance Teams and we even have a Musical Theater program! We offer our students performance opportunities several times throughout the year such as our annual Ballet production for all ballet students, our Performance Troupe which performs each month throughout the community, Our Musical Theater program which puts on 3-4 musicals each year and of course our annual dance recital in June!
What is expected of my preschooler?
We expect them to have fun! Parents have told us that other studios are too serious for young children, and that their kids quickly lose interest. We believe that children as young as two years old can experience great joy and great learning from an early introduction to movement and music. Our staff has more than 30 years combined experience teaching dance and are incredibly proud of what we have to offer to preschoolers.
What is the focus of the studio?
A positive, encouraging environment is crucial to a dancer’s enjoyment and success. Our studio’s goal is to build confidence and esteem in our students, while instilling a love of dance that will last a lifetime. We pride ourselves in welcoming all dancers, regardless of their ability or experience, and conducting classes in a positive, encouraging atmosphere. We’re also very aware of family needs, so everything is age appropriate, including choreography, music, costume, and especially rehearsal times!
What is the class size?
If the dance class has fewer students in it each child will receive more personalized attention, learn more, and have more fun. Our smaller class sizes make sure that no fundamental concepts are being missed. A smaller class size also allows our teachers to ensure that students are not developing bad habits or improper technique.
Our studio limits all of our classes (ages 6 and up) to a maximum of just 12 students per class. With our Preschool & Level 1 classes (ages 2 – 5) we limit all of our classes to a maximum of just 8 – 10 students per class.
Is the studio organized?
We want you to be informed as much as possible, and we want your interactions with us to be easy and professional. We have an online registration and account management system in place to make sure that everything goes as smoothly as possible, we send out monthly Newsletters, we even have an A Dance Place app to help keep you informed of everything happening within the studio! If you have any questions or concerns, we have administrative staff available any time of day to address them.
Is there a structured curriculum in place?
We believe it’s important to have a curriculum in place that all of our instructors can agree on and implement. This ensures that each student will receive the same quality instruction, no matter which studio they’re attending.
What can I expect for the year-end show?
Entertainment! The show is held in the 1,600-seat Union Colony Civic Center Monfort Theater in Greeley. Costumes are hassle free for our customers and everything that is needed for the big stage will be provided with your costume such as hair pieces, and tights. If any alterations are needed, our professional seamstress can help! A Dance Place also provides two free tickets to our show for parents!
Can you watch your child?
Yes! We want you to see just what goes into the progress you’ll see. When your child tells you about something exciting that happened at dance class, we want you to be able to relate to what they’ve experienced. We have observation windows to make both you and your child as comfortable as possible.
