Learn about how our classes are structured
Registration & Sessions
We have ongoing sessions and open enrollment at A Dance Place. This means that once you are registered, you remain registered until the Spring Recital or you notify our office of your intent to discontinue. Drop requests received by the 20th of the month will take effect the next billing cycle (which begins on the 1st of each month). Tuition is charged (and automatically prorated) based on your registration date through the end of the month.
Tuition
You have 2 options in how to pay your monthly tuition.
- Recurring Payment Plan (Monthly Payment by EFT or Credit Card) – your monthly tuition amount will be automatically debited from your checking or savings account or charged to your credit card on the 1st of each month;
- Semesterly Payment Plan-5% discount – your semester tuition will be automatically debited from your checking or savings account or charged to your credit card upon enrollment and you will receive 5% off your semester tuition. Spring semester tuition is charged December 30. You must be registered by September 15 for Fall and February 1 for Spring to receive 5% discount. Semesters run Aug 18-Dec 31 and Jan 1-Jun 14. Semester charge is prorated based on Enrollment Date-End of Semester.
First month’s tuition is payable upon registration through the online registration system to reserve your spot in the class, regardless of which tuition option you select. TUITION IS NON-REFUNDABLE & NON-TRANSFERABLE.
Tuition is charged on a monthly basis regardless of the number of classes each month (i.e. some months have 5 classes and some months have 3) or how many the student attends. Tuition is the same each month with the exception of August & June, which is 1/2 the regular tuition rate these months. Credit toward future classes may be available for those who withdraw mid-month or mid-semester.
Musical Tuition
Musical Tuition is separate from Dance Class Tuition. There will be a flat rate depending on the Musical you participate in. That flat rate can either be paid for up front or divided during the months of participation.
Missed or Cancelled Classes
Makeup classes are available if students miss class due to illness, emergencies or bad weather. Occasionally, instructors will also miss class due to personal emergencies or bad weather, in which case every effort will be made to find a suitable substitute. In the case a suitable substitute cannot be found, class may be canceled with either a makeup class scheduled for a later time, or you may attend any other age-appropriate class to serve as your makeup class. Prorated tuition nor refunds will be issued. No exceptions.
In the case of class cancellations due to instructor emergencies or bad weather, we will send an email, post on the website, and leave a voicemail message on the studio telephone line.
Communication
A Dance Place communicates virtually 100% via email. Please add “[email protected]” to your address book and make sure we have a current email address for your family on file. Also, please check your email frequently as important information regarding upcoming events, schedule changes, and your dance account will be sent to the email address on file. Lastly, notify the office immediately if you are not receiving emails.
Schedule
A Dance Place will close for the following holidays:
Labor Day
Halloween
Thanksgiving Week (Closed Tuesday – Friday, Open for Monday Classes to account for Labor Day closure)
Christmas Break
Spring Break
Memorial Day
Please see the studio calendar for specific dates.
Visitors
In order for all students to receive the best training possible, the teacher must have their complete attention. Visitors, including parents, are not allowed inside the dance studio but are welcome to observe class via the observation window. Other children/siblings are welcome in the waiting area if they can choose a quiet activity. Rough play is welcome outside and not appreciated inside the building.
Recitals
We hold at least 2 performances per year: an informal Holiday Open House in December for students to showcase what they’ve learned to their family, and a spring recital held in June at the Union Colony Civic Center Monfort Theater in Greeley.
The Holiday Open House has little to no out of pocket expense. The spring recital, however, entails additional costs including per class costume fees ($60-$70 per class) and a per family recital fee (fee depends on venue but generally $45-65 per family). The Schedule & Events Page houses specific information regarding expenses, dates and times of performances as this information becomes available throughout the season.
We truly THANK YOU for your business and look very forward to meeting our new students and reacquainting with our returning students.
