Summer Session will begin the Week of June 29th! Our Summer Session is a 5-Week Session beginning the week of June 29th-July 31st
Our summer dance classes and camps in Greeley and Windsor are rapidly approaching and we’re sure you are already making plans for vacations and summer activities. Hopefully you intend to include some of our dance classes and camps in those summer plans! A Dance Place is offering a few summer dance classes and camps at our Greeley and Windsor locations. These Classes and Camps are a great way to try a new style of dance or perfect your existing technique!
Dances can choose from a variety of styles including Ballet, Leaps and Turns, and Jazz/Hip Hop.
SUMMER DANCE AND CRAFT (AGES 6-10)
(JUNE 30th-JULY 2nd) DECENDANTS CAMP: Dance like your favorite Descendants characters at our Descendants Dance Camp! This high-energy, jazz based camp brings the music and style of Descendants to life through fun choreography, creative movement, and lots of attitude. Dancers will learn jazz technique while dancing to their favorite Descendants songs, building confidence and performance skills along the way. Each day also includes a themed craft, making it a full experience of creativity and fun! On the final day, dancers will perform a short routine to show off what they’ve learned!
(JULY 7th-JULY 9th) MUSICAL THEATER CAMP: Step into the spotlight at our Musical Theater Camp! Performers will sing, act, and dance as they explore fun choreography inspired by musical theater favorites. Throughout the camp, performers will build confidence, stage presence, and performance skills while working on both vocals, acting and dance technique. Each day also includes a themed craft! On the final day, performers will perform a short demonstration of what they’ve learned!
(JULY 14th-JULY 16th) KPOP DEMON HUNTERS CAMP: Get ready for high-energy fun at our K-Pop Demon Hunter Dance Camp! Dancers will explore jazz and hip hop styles while learning bold, dynamic choreography inspired K-Pop! Each day also includes a themed craft! On the final day, performers will perform a short demonstration of what they’ve learned!
(JULY 21st-JULY 23rd) BEACH PARTY DANCE CAMP: Get ready for sunshine and summer fun at our Beach Party Dance Camp! Dancers will enjoy upbeat, jazz-based choreogrpahy set to fun beachy music inspired by Teen Beach Movie and other summer favorites. Each day includes a themed craft to match the beachy theme, making it a creative and engaging experience! On the final day, dancers will perform a short demonstration of what they’ve learned!
(JULY 28th-JULY 30th) BARBIE BASH DANCE CAMP: Come dance, sparkle, and shine at our Barbie Bash Dance Camp! Dancers will enjoy fun, jazz-inspired choreography set to upbeat Barbie inspired music. This camp is all about positivity, creativity, and having fun! Each day includes a themed craft and on the final day, dancers will perform a short demonstration of what they’ve learned.
PARENT AND ME: This is for ages 18 Months-3 years. This class is an introductory toddler dance class where a parent or guardian joins them during their dance class. mommy and Me classes introduce toddlers to our studio and make sure they feel comfortable learning in a classroom environment before trying an independent class. Nursery rhymes may be sung, stories may be read, and the students will sing and clap to lively music! Hands-on props such as colorful scarves, and shaker toys, will be explored, encouraging your child’s musical awareness and creative expression. Caregivers will assist their child in activities that encourage the use of gross motor skills such as walking on a balance beam, crawling through tunnels, or hopping into hula hoops. With your assistance, littles ones will practice turn-taking skills, and listening skills and will become acclimated to the structure of a dance class. Tuition is $55 for the entire 5 Week session
PRESCHOOL DANCE AND CRAFT: This is for ages 3-6. This Class is an excellent introduction to a wide variety of dance! Dancers can come to any of our themed classes and enjoy a themed dance class and craft! Come on an adventure to help our firefly find her glow or help the mermaids find the lost pearl help the Cheetah find his spots or treasure hunt with the pirates for the treasure! Greeley and Windsor Studios on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00-11:30. Tuition is $95 for the entire 5 Week session
BALLET: Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. It provides grace, poise, and technique needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance. Ballet classes will help dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline, and self-confidence. Students are taught proper body placement, body alignment, barre and center floor work, along with across the floor combinations. Tuition is $70 for the entire 5 week session
LEAPS AND TURNS: This class will focus on improving technical skills for leaps, jumps, and turns. We will work on flexibility and conditioning with a more intense focus on body alignment, centering, and extension that will improve overall balance and core strength, and ultimately overall technique.
JAZZ/HIP HOP: This class is an excellent introduction into a couple styles of dance, Jazz and Hip Hop! Jazz class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz to help develop a well rounded dancer. Hip Hop is a high energy class that will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Tuition is $70 for the entire 5 week session
